Welcome to a unique wine journey in the extraordinary ambiance of Kastelbell Castle. On July 5th, 2026, tradition meets pioneering spirit as the sun-drenched South and the noble North converge in the West of South Tyrol.
This special presentation is hosted by Sommelière Sonya Egger-Trafoier - Restaurant Kuppelrain in close cooperation with the Kastelbell-Tschars Tourism Board.
- - Vinschgau Valley – Between Rock and Vine:
Sheltered by high alpine peaks and surrounded by numerous 3,000-meter mountains – including the majestic Ortler, the "King" nearly touching the 4,000-meter mark – our wines thrive under extreme conditions. Rugged rock, rare rainfall, and the constant Vinschger breeze give these wines an alpine freshness and a straightforward soul, as unique as the steep terraces of our homeland.
- Sicily – Passion from the Mountains of Palermo:
We are delighted to welcome Baglio di Pianetto as our guest from the South. Contrary to coastal expectations, these wines grow in a stunning natural mountain amphitheater in Santa Cristina Gela. At elevations up to 650 meters, they produce true "high-altitude wines" infused with the power of the Sicilian sun.
- Piedmont – Noble Elegance of Sun-Kissed Hills:
From the rolling, light-filled hills of the Langhe and Monferrato, the Abbona family brings the timeless grandeur of Marchesi di Barolo and Cascina Bruciata – the signature project of siblings Davide and Valentina – to Kastelbell. Here, where vineyards stretch like golden waves to the horizon, wines of aristocratic structure and deep expression are born.
