Stars Castles Mountains
Haut cuisine, historic places and traditional Alpine pasture huts are the main elements of the new gourmet event, "Stars Castles Mountains". The event will be held on specific evenings from mid May to mid September in the holiday regions of Merano and Environs.

Highlights of the event include five gala dinners to be held at five different historic castles in Merano and Environs.
The menu each evening will be passionately prepared by our five chefs – Anna Matscher | Zum Löwen Restaurant, Andrea Fenoglio | Sissi Restaurant, Alois Haller | Restaurant within Hotel Castel Fragsburg, Jörg Trafoier | Kuppelrain Restaurant and Gerhard Wieser | Trenkerstube Restaurant.
The opening event will be held on May 18 th, 2012 at Tyrol Castle. Other scheduled events include June 8 th at Schenna Castle, July 17th at Katzenzungen Castle in Prissiano/Prissian, sunday August 12 th at Kastelbell Castle and September 6 th at Pienzenau Castle in Merano/Meran.
True gourmet fans will also have the opportunity to taste different haute cuisine dishes at five Alpine pasture huts also participating in the event programme. As well as this, the awarded chefs will offer a guided tour "of their hut". Guests will be served a four-course menu on this trip, prepared by the hut owner and the star chef.
The cultural project “Stars Castles Mountains 2012” involves the Brunico/Bruneck European Theatre School. With the help of young drama students, the audience is transported to past eras over the five nights, between the destinies of men and situations of everyday life.
